Roger Garmendia, HFA, QMCP
Roger has been in the long-term care industry for over 11 years. He has 10 years of both professional and personal experience with Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. Prior to his role as Executive Director at Morningview, he has worked as a CNA, as well as an Activities Director. Roger lives in South Bend with his wife, son, and their dog.

Sharon Marquez, the Director of Nursing at Morningview Assisted Living adds passion and understanding to her decades of nursing experience, this ensures what she does at Morningview is so much more than just her job. Sharon began her career in healthcare while attending high school. It was during that time she realized only through compassionate respectful care could some of our most vulnerable achieve and maintain their best quality of life and so this became her mission. Through the years Sharon has always been drawn to Geriatric care for this reason she seeks knowledge to improve her understanding of the aging process. She became a Certified Memory Care Practitioner and Qualified Dementia Care Provider. The knowledge she has gained allows her to assist families to navigate the process of placing their loved one in the right setting as well as work through the conflicting feelings they are forced to deal with during this journey. My name is Beth Gardner and I have recently taken the position at Morningview as the New Life Enrichment Coordinator. My passion for working with the Elderly began many years ago when visiting my Grandmother in the facility she lived in the last years of her life. I saw how the things they did were helping my Grandmother adjust to her new environment. I have had a career in healthcare for 20 years. I started by doing home care then went on to work in assisted living. From there I became a certified CNA, but my passion was always activities. The places I was employed allowed me to also do some activities. I then moved into a position as Activity Assistant in a specialized care facility. My passion continued to grow and I took the course to become an Activity Director. I have worked in Assisted Living, Independent Living, Specialized Skilled Care and Memory Care. I love what I do and always strive to create an environment for our residents here at Morningview that brings them joy and purpose. I am very excited about the person-centered care program we have engaged in here. Always feel free to stop and say hello, or to ask me any questions.
